Are You Tired Of Hiding Your Missing Teeth?

What are dental implants? Are you self-conscious about your missing teeth? There are three basic options in tooth replacement: dental implants (or tooth implants), dental bridges, and removable dentures. While bridges and dentures are certainly safe and effective, they have numerous disadvantages. Bridges require removing tooth structure from surrounding healthy teeth in order to support the permanent fixture. Most denture wearers find themselves unhappy with the diet restrictions, additional cleaning regimens, and adhesive failures associated with removable dentures.

For these reasons, and many others, Dr. Dan KnellingerDr. Stacey Verkler, and Dr. Carol Bou-Sliman of Knellinger Dental Excellence recommend tooth implants to replace missing teeth. We place and restore dental implants in our office, and offer single tooth implants, implant supported dentures, and full arch dental implants. All these options replace missing teeth, providing health benefits, aesthetics, and long-term stability for your smile. From our office in Palm Harbor, FL we serve patients from Dunedin, FL to Tarpon Springs, FL as well Ozona, FL.

What Is a Tooth Implant?

Implants are designed to simulate the appearance and function of your missing teeth. They are made up of only three parts. A titanium post serves as the root, stimulating the jaw bone for optimum bone health while providing a solid foundation for your custom implant crown. An abutment connects the two key pieces.

"I'm healthy and my teeth are really happy. And it's a wonderful investment in time and money and energy. I'm thrilled with it. Anybody that is considering it, I recommend it."

How Are Dental Implants Placed?

Our dental implant dentist will place the titanium posts at the sites of your missing teeth. The titanium will fuse with the existing bone over the course of several months. Once the integration process is complete, abutments and customized crowns will be placed, completing your brand new smile. Implant supported dentures rely on two implants placed in the jaw bone onto which a custom denture is “snapped.” Full arch dental implants, for patients missing all of their teeth, utilize four or more implants secured in the jaw that are used to support the permanent attachment of a full-arch prosthesis.

The Benefits Of Dental Implants - Palm Harbor, FL

Our dental implant dentist can deliver beautiful, natural looking results that last a lifetime with tooth implants. With dental implants, you can enjoy the following advantages:

Permanent Tooth Replacement

Unlike traditional dentures or dental bridges, dental implants are a permanent tooth replacement option. With proper home care and regular dental visits, your dental implant can last a lifetime. And because the implant looks and feels like your natural teeth, home care is as simple as brushing and flossing!

Look Like Your Real Teeth

Dental implants look and feel like your natural teeth so you can eat the foods you love without worrying. Dental implants also look like your natural teeth so no one will be able to tell the difference between your real teeth and your dental implant!

Maintain Your Oral Health

Bone loss in the jaw can begin immediately after a tooth is lost and can cause a sunken in appearance and the shifting of your surrounding teeth. These unsightly gaps in your smile can be avoided with dental implants which act like your real teeth and preserve the bone tissue in the jaw.

Replace One or Many Teeth

Dental implants offer the flexibility to replace one missing tooth, several missing teeth or all of your teeth. This allows us to preserve the health and beauty of your smile without compromising your quality of life!
